Well what a week. First and foremost we hope that all our friends and customers keep well and safe in these difficult times. Here at the shop we decided last week we had to close to the public, as so many people would come in, mingle, pick up products to try and to feel and to smell them, we felt it was just too big a risk. As a result we have had to turn our whole business upside down overnight. We have gone from being a retail shop with a little website to a completely on-line business, posting everything and providing a free safe drop off delivery service to local customers in Shrewsbury.
We have been isolating ourselves too, traveling only between work and home and essential shopping. We will have to streamline our business, and may not do the same range of sizes or packaging, but we hope to keep our products available for as long as possible. If we do get locked down, we hope to be exempt as we are manufacturers of soap, which is after all, the Governments' main weapon in the fight against Covid 19.
We do have enough ingredients to carry on for the time being and we will still be making our products to the same high standards. We will not be increasing our prices and will still have special offers available. We are also looking at ways to reduce some prices, particularly our soaps. From now on individual soap bars will be shipped unwrapped but we will be selling them for £3.75 for a 110g bar. Gift wrapped soaps in bags will still be available at the same price as before.
The information we are trying to get out there, especially to elderly or those completely isolating, is that we will drop off, free of charge, any online order in the SY1, SY2 and SY3 area with no minimum purchase
We feel lucky that we are able to continue working for the time being and want to use that time to help out as much as possible.
Our Blog will now become a regular item, with general chat about the town, maybe some soap making tutorials or information we think you may like.
Back to soap making now - our new Tea Tree and Neem soap is proving very popular, but more about that later.
All our best wishes
Jenny & Jorgie
