Before starting the Blue Lemon, Jorgie & Jenny had both worked in catering. Jorgie was a chef and Jenny worked in restaurant management. At one time they had their own restaurant and catering franchise at a prestigious East Lothian golf club.

It was this experience which helped them build a soap & skincare business based on using only natural plant oils. With Jorgie making the soaps as Jenny developed her range of skincare, we went from strength to strength, but even today, all our products are made with hand blenders or Kitchen Aid mixers.

After building the business for over twelve years now, Jorgie decided to take a step back and leave Jenny to run The Blue Lemon, while he went back to his first love; making great things to eat.

Living and working in Shrewsbury, where there are already a multitude and great variety of restaurants, cafes and take aways, he was aware that there was a need for something different, something special, and, once he found the perfect location, Greyfriars Chocolate was born.

Using organic, fino de aroma cacao, grown in South America and produced and imported from Columbia, he will be bringing the finest grade chocolate to tempt your tastebuds.

To compliment the fine chocolates, what could be better than the finest Gelato and Sorbeto. We realised we wouldn't be able to make ice cream as well as chocolates, so went on a mission to find the best we could. After much tasting and testing, we decided to team up with Joe Delucci and look forward to sharing a selection of no less than 13 of their finest flavours with you. They can tell you better than us how special this real, Italian made treat, really is.

Opening in June, with plenty vegan and gluten free options, and lots of tasters to sample, we're sure your going to love it.
